Literature Text

A fire,
a candle burning
the smell of perfume arising
a pale moon reflecting on a window pane
and the night still playing with the last colors of a dying day
while the whisper of satin falling
breaks the silence, wakes my senses

Child,
your breath embracing
the air that flows there trembling
and my own self, fervid of desire is awaiting
the contact of your arms about my expecting flesh
you gently push me backwards
I close my eyes, our time is endless

Mild,
nimble hands outlining
those plains that once were naked
I look at you, silently your perfume fading
and a single smile is the prelude that gentle
cries out mightier than the thunder
I am yours, this night forever!

I sigh,
Deep valleys, virgin dunes
your wild geography unveils majestic
while deep shadows that seem reflected
from years of forbidden wishes, taboos compelled
step aside not interfering
now deep inside, be mine, stay helpless
One of my few efforts at writing poetry.

Please, when reviewing and critiquing this piece, take into account that English is not my mother tongue :)

Thanks for reading!

The ending is intriguing. I really like how you've phrased things and the diction. This poem is quite beautiful and potent.
